Cover Your Little Piggies Quilting Studio

Quilt Preparation

a.  Please have your backing fabric 12 inches longer and 12 inches wider than your quilt top.  This allows me ample room to square up your backing before I load the quilt.

b.  Please press your top and your backing well before you bring or mail your quilt to me.

c.  Please clip all stray threads so they do not show through the lighter fabrics.

d.  Please repair all open seams and pleats that may be in your piecing.

e.  Please mark the top edge of your quilt top (if it has a designated top) with a safety pin and a plain piece of white fabric.

f.  Please do not thread baste or pin your backing to your quilt top before bringing or sending it to the studio.

g.  If you have pets in the home, please remove all pet hair and dander before bringing or sending your top to the studio.  This transfers on to my leaders and some of my customers are allergic.  This is only common courtesy.

h.  PLEASE PLEASE attach your borders properly so they do not have the wavy effect which leaves me no choice but to put pleats in them to take up the fullness.  Contact me for directions if you wish to explore this further.

i.  I do NOT accept sheets for backings! Firm!

j.  No embellishments are to be added to your quilt before I quilt it.

k.  I do not accept double knit tops or applique tops that have heavy fusible web applied.  Please use Lite Steam A Seam.

If you fail to press, clip stray threads, mend and repair seams, leave pin or thread basting in your quilt, or need me to remove wavy borders and re-attach them, these services are billed at 20.00 per hour, charged in hour increments.  Client will be advised before I begin my work to give them the choice of either picking the quilt up and completing the tasks or give me permission to do said work.
